The Polish national team clawed their way to the European Championship in a penalty shoot-out in the final play-off qualification match against Wales, becoming the last participant. Not only Kadra's fans are rejoicing at this event, but also its former coach, Fernando Santos.

The Portuguese was retired as head coach of the Red and White in September last year, but, as reported by journalist Kacper Sosnowski, this will not prevent the 69-year-old specialist to earn approximately 775 thousand zlotys (almost $200 thousand) on the Polish national team's exit at the Euro.

Thus, it is known that according to the terms of parting Santos and PZPN was prescribed that the Portuguese will receive 25% of the bonus, which was prescribed at the signing of the contract in January 2023.

Recall that the specialist was sent into retirement after a 0-2 defeat to Albania in Euro qualifying. After the Portuguese national team took domestic specialist Michał Probierz, who failed to get a direct ticket, taking third place in the group, but who managed to reach the Euro through the play-off round.

Santos started work in January at Besiktas in Turkey, where he has lost his last three matches and is in fourth place in the local Super League standings.
