Yesterday witnessed the clash of Hull and Norwich in the 27th round of the English Championship. This match might have escaped the ordinary spectator's memory if not for a pivotal moment at the onset.

Hull's forward, Aaron Connolly, pursued the ball following a lofted pass. However, beyond the penalty area, Norwich's goalkeeper, Angus Gunn, leapt to head the ball, colliding at full tilt with Aaron. Immediate medical attention was required for the home team's player, leading to a substitution as early as the sixteenth minute.

Despite the severity of such a foul, the referee awarded a free-kick in favor of Norwich, deeming that Connolly had infringed upon the goalkeeper's rights.

Following the viral spread of the violation video, many condemned the referee, asserting that Angus Gunn deserved a red card for such a rugged play. People left their incensed comments beneath the video:

"Angus Gunn just nearly killed Aaron Connolly."

"Connolly was fortunate not to have a broken neck."

Yet, there were those who defended the goalkeeper:

"There's nothing wrong with winning the ball cleanly with a header."

Post-match, Hull's head coach, Liam Rosenior, declared:

"It was an evident foul. There's no room for debate."

As a result, Norwich secured victory in the match with a scoreline of 2-1, ascending to the eighth position in the Championship, while Hull remained in the seventh spot.
