The car of the Lazio defender caught fire while the footballer was behind the wheel

Lazio defender Elseid Hysaj was involved in a serious incident while driving his Ferrari, as reported by Roma Today.

Last Monday, the car of the 30-year-old Albanian defender caught fire while he was inside with his father-in-law. The car door was locked, and his wife, who was in another car, witnessed the incident.

Eventually, Hysaj and his father-in-law managed to escape from the car, which was completely destroyed thereafter. Prior to the incident, the footballer had purchased the car for 160,000 euros. The fire is believed to have been caused by an engine malfunction.

The player himself was unharmed and has already played for Lazio in yesterday's match against Salernitana (4-1). This season, Elseid has played 24 matches for the "Eagles" but has not recorded any goals or assists.
