Last week, from April 4th to 7th, the final tournament before the Masters, the Valero Texas Open, took place.

This tournament provided fans with an incredible finish, despite it being thought that the champion was already determined before the final round. American Akshay Bhatia started with a score of -15, four shots ahead of the closest pursuer, Danny McCarthy.

During the round, Bhatia improved to -19, but McCarthy showcased remarkable play, making seven birdies in a row. Both golfers birdied the final 18th hole, sending the game into a playoff with scores tied at -20.

In the playoff, Bhatia suffered a minor injury to his left hand, but it didn't hinder him from clinching victory. Danny McCarthy made a poor third shot on the first hole of the playoff, landing his ball in the water. Bhatia avoided such errors, executed a birdie, and secured the win at the Valero Texas Open.

It's worth noting that this week marks the beginning of the Masters series tournament, where, by the way, Tiger Woods will be competing.
