The National Football League's Baltimore Ravens and the Major League Baseball team Baltimore Orioles have collectively donated $10 million to a charitable fund supporting those affected by the collapse of the bridge in Baltimore.

On March 26th, a container ship departing from the Baltimore seaport collided with the support structure of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. As of now, this tragedy has claimed the lives of two individuals, with four others still considered missing.

Both teams, headquartered in Baltimore, have contributed $5 million each to aid the affected, as reported on the official website of the football club.

In a statement issued by the Ravens on behalf of owner Steve Bisciotti, the following sentiments were expressed:

"We extend our heartfelt condolences to the victims of this tragedy and their families.

We are grateful to our emergency response services for their bravery and tireless efforts. It is a great honor for the Ravens to support the efforts to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge, the families affected, and the businesses of Maryland. We are confident that Baltimore and Maryland will continue to demonstrate immense spirit and resilience during this time of great need."

David Rubenstein, owner of the baseball team, stated:

"The resilience of our city has once again been put to a severe test.

Under the leadership of Governor Wes Moore and in collaboration with the Ravens, we make this contribution to support those sustaining businesses in our city, our state, and our country."
