On June 28, Stadion Ramaz Shengelia (Kutaisi) will host the match of the 3rd round of the Euro U21, in which Czech Republic will compete with Israel. The battle will start at 18:00 CET.
Czech Republic
The national team seriously lost ground after the peak of the early 2000s (there were two appearances in the final, with the victory of Petr Čech and the company in 2002). It managed to remind about itself only once again – the team reached the semi-finals in 2011 and the rest of the time there alternated eliminations in qualifications with absenteeism from the groups. The current qualification was also not easy – England, as expected, took a confident victory. Although “the Little Lions” were not bad (they got 7 wins and 22 points). Having coped in an additional play-offs with Iceland (a 2-1 score at the away arena and a 0-0 draw on the native field), the team reached the Euro. And they met with “acquaintances” there – England. It did not succeed again – there happened a 0:2 defeat. The higher mentioned failure was followed by the struggle with another giant, the Germans, in three days. Vitik’s goal, which was scored in the 87th minute of the game, made a sensation – a 2:1 score in favour of the underdog. Still, it is desirable to play to win now.
Israel
The team is not considered to be a serious contender for success. The same can be said, by the way, about the “adult” national team, which, after the “moving” to the UEFA zone, did not reach a single serious tournament. The youth team in this regard is a little more successful – it went to the Euro 2007 and hosted the tournament in six years. Still, it never overcame the group stage. Nowadays, the Israelis were playing in the same qualifying group with the Germans, and hardly anyone expected the victory there – nevertheless, the team was able to get ahead of strong Poland by 1 point (19 vs 18) in the dispute for the 2nd place. And then, having exchanged draws, the team knocked out Ireland in the play-offs on penalties. The very final tournament started with Germany. It survived, having spent half the match in the minority, and got a 1:1 draw. Sunday brought a duel with another favourite, England. The opponent scored an early goal – the battle resulted in a confident 2-0 score.

Predictions
Bookmakers give a slight advantage to the Czechs. Still, both teams understand that a victory is needed and, therefore, they will play for the result. Thus, we are waiting for not spectacular “total: under 2.5” (odd: 1.90).
