In Saudi Arabia, there are discussions about increasing the limit on foreign footballers that clubs can have in their squads for the upcoming season. This information comes from The Telegraph.

Currently set at eight players, there are plans to potentially raise this number to ten. This move might offer local clubs more flexibility in the transfer market by broadening the scope for acquiring foreign players.

Such a change in regulations would also reduce the necessity to sell players to create space in the team for acquiring more renowned footballers. For instance, when Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr, the club had to sell Vincent Aboubakar to Besiktas to open up a spot for the registration of the Portuguese player.

With this in mind, it's likely that Saudi clubs will continue attracting new stars to the Pro League during the summer transfer window.
