Al-Ittihad suffered a home defeat against the weaker opponent, Al Raed, in yesterday's Saudi Pro League match, spending a considerable part of the game with a numerical disadvantage.

Journalist Valid Al-Farraj criticized Al Ittihad's forward, Karim Benzema, for his approach to the game and his effectiveness on the football pitch after the match.

He highlighted that the gap between Benzema and the public is growing with each passing day. According to the journalist, the player isn't making a substantial contribution to the game and doesn't exert the necessary effort. His conduct sometimes appears as if he's playing solely for his own amusement.

As per preliminary information, the 36-year-old Benzema signed a two-year contract with Al Ittihad for 400 million euros. Currently, the footballer has played 19 matches for the team, scoring 12 goals and providing 4 assists. Despite being the reigning country champion, the club holds only the sixth position in the ongoing season.
