The legendary Gareth Bale has the opportunity to resume his career. The former midfielder has been offered a contract by Wrexham, an English third division club owned by Hollywood stars Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.

“We’ll let him play golf whenever he wants. If he shows up to training a couple of times a week, we’ll see how we can integrate him into the team,” Rob McElhenney said.

Interestingly, Wrexham is based in Wales, Bale's homeland.

Bale's last club was LAFC, and he officially retired from professional football in January last year.

With 40 goals in 111 matches, Bale is the top scorer in the history of the Welsh national team. He is best known for his performances with Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid.

Wrexham finished in second place in the fourth division last season, a significant rise considering they were playing in the fifth division just a year ago.
