Flick asks Barcelona to buy Bayer Leverkusen starlet
Barcelona's new head coach, Hansi Flick, has identified a new transfer target for the club.
According to David Bernabeu, the German manager has requested the club's executives to find the funds for Bayer Leverkusen's primary right-back, Jeremie Frimpong.
The Dutch footballer has decided to leave Bayer this summer. However, he intends to wait until after Euro 2024 before negotiating with other clubs.
Flick believes that Barcelona critically lacks a fast and high-quality player in the right-back position, and Frimpong appears to be the ideal candidate.
Additionally, according to the same source, Bayer is interested in purchasing Ansu Fati from Barcelona.
In the recently concluded season, in which Bayer won the Bundesliga for the first time in its history, Frimpong scored 14 goals and provided 12 assists in 47 matches across all competitions.
