Netherlands national team announces extended bid for European Championship 2024
The head coach of the Netherlands national team, Ronald Koeman, has announced a list of 30 players who will prepare for the upcoming matches of the 2024 European Championship. This preliminary squad will eventually be narrowed down to a final roster of 26 players.
The biggest surprise in the squad is the omission of the top scorer for the sensational Bologna, Joshua Zirkzee. Additionally, key central midfielder Mats Wieffer from Feyenoord, who played a significant role in the qualifying campaign, is absent due to injury.

The 2024 European Championship will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14. The Netherlands will compete in a group with France, Poland, and Austria.
The Netherlands will play their first match of the tournament on June 16 against Poland in Hamburg.
