Who needs the European Super League? Which teams from the top 5 championships refused to participate

After the decision of the European Court to declare illegal the actions of FIFA and UEFA to ban the European Super League, 17 European clubs from the top 5 leagues immediately expressed support for the European football body.

It should be noted that initially the idea of ​​creating the tournament was supported by 12 European teams, but many of them abandoned their plans to take part in it.

Which clubs have expressed their support to UEFA:

Premier League (England): Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester City.

• La Liga (Spain): Sevilla, Valencia, Atlético Madrid, Real Sociedad, Villarreal.
• Serie A (Italy): Inter, Atalanta, Roma.
• Bundesliga (Germany): Bayern, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen.
• Ligue 1 (France): PSG, Monaco.

Thus, two teams remain on the list of Super League participants - the Spanish Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The tournament organizers plan to invite 64 teams and divide them into three leagues. The start of the new tournament is tentatively scheduled for 2025.
