Ajax, as part of an initiative against hate on social media, appeared in a match of the Netherlands championship against Sparta wearing jerseys with three dots instead of surnames.

"Every month, players from the men's and women's Ajax teams receive more than 1,500 hate messages on social media. Unfortunately, this isn't just limited to our players. Such messages are part of a trend affecting millions of people on the internet.

"Social hatred will persist until we stop it from existing. The more frequently we, as a community, report it, the more we urge social platforms to take action," - Ajax stated.

It's worth noting that the match itself ended with a victory for the Amsterdam team, with a score of 2-1. Ajax scored its goals before halftime and conceded once in the second half but managed to secure the win.

In the Eredivisie league table, Ajax currently holds the fifth position, having garnered 24 points from 15 matches.
