Yesterday, in the 30th round of the English Premier League, West Ham traveled to face Newcastle. The visitors were leading 3-1 until the 77th minute when Alexander Isak converted a controversial penalty. After that, Harvey Barnes's brace secured the victory for the "Magpies."

Newcastle's comeback deeply disappointed Manchester City player, Kalvin Phillips, currently on loan at West Ham. He came on as a substitute in the 69th minute but couldn't prevent the opponents from clinching a spirited victory.

This was evident from his reaction to the criticism from West Ham fans as the team headed to their bus. A video circulating on social media showed Phillips entering the bus and gesturing the middle finger to West Ham supporters. Amidst the shouts directed at him, "Useless! Absolutely useless!"

What exacerbates this situation is that he made this gesture in the presence of children in the crowd.

Kalvin Phillips, unable to secure a spot in Manchester City's lineup, moved to the West London club on loan for six months. His decision can be attributed to his desire to earn a place in the England squad for the 2024 European Championship.

Following the defeat to Newcastle, West Ham's head coach David Moyes admitted that the decision to bring in Phillips instead of Michail Antonio "didn't work out."

Kalvin Phillips himself did not give any comments regarding yesterday's incident, although it is difficult to believe that he will be able to somehow get out of this situation.
