Casablanca Emerges as Favorite to Host 2030 World Cup Final
There are reports saying that Casablanca, Morocco, is the top choice to hold the 2030 FIFA World Cup Final because of its modern facilities and good planning. Even though Spain has famous stadiums like Santiago Bernabéu and Camp Nou, Morocco’s Hassan II Stadium is getting a lot of attention.
The Hassan II Stadium can hold 115,000 people, making Casablanca a strong choice. The city has excellent transportation, with four big train stations and Africa’s biggest tram system, covering 80 kilometers with more than 120 stops. This makes it easier to move around compared to cities like Madrid, Barcelona, and Porto.
FIFA gave the Hassan II Stadium a score of 4.3, which is comparable to that of Bernabéu and Camp Nou, and Casablanca a rating of 4.7 out of 5. Casablanca's case for the final is strengthened by its superiority in accessibility, lodging, and transportation.
Morocco is attempting to host the 2030 World Cup at six stadiums: Hassan II Stadium, Agadir Grand Stadium, Marrakech Grand Stadium, Tangier Grand Stadium, Moulay Abdallah Stadium, and Fez Grand Stadium. Morocco aims to demonstrate that it can use these sites to host major international events.
