The ASEC Mimosas women’s team have arrived in Ouagadougou for the WAFU B qualifying tournament for the CAF Women’s Champions League

The Ivory Coast side kick off the tournament on Monday against Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC from Ghana.

The WAFU B qualifying tournament for the CAF Women’s Champions League officially kicks off on Monday 24 August in Burkina Faso. ASEC Mimosas, representing Ivory Coast in the tournament, have been based in Ouagadougou since Saturday 22 August.

The Ivorian side will be putting the finishing touches to their preparations ahead of their opening match on Monday. Following their arrival, the Ivorian players held their first training session on Burkinabe soil.

Drawn in Group B, the Mimosas will face Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC of Ghana, Edo Queens FC of Nigeria and AS GNN of Niger. All matches will be played at the Stade du 4-Août in Ouagadougou.
