Boom! Barcelona go for a top striker
Deco is preparing a late-window Plan B as Barcelona's striker search enters a decisive phase.
Details: According to TEAMtalk, Barcelona are weighing up a late move for Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen as they explore alternatives to Julián Álvarez. The Nigerian is firmly on Deco's radar and is considered a more realistic option to explore than Lautaro Martinez.
Álvarez remains Barcelona's preferred target, but Atlético Madrid continue to resist a deal. CEO Miguel Ángel Gil Marín has publicly stressed that the club will not allow another side to dictate its sporting strategy and said Atlético intend to keep helping the Argentine reach his full potential.
Lautaro is another forward Barcelona admire, but Inter's position is even firmer. The Italian club have no intention of selling their captain this month and have already closed the door on approaches, forcing Deco to continue assessing other options before the transfer window shuts.
TEAMtalk does not report an agreement or formal Barcelona bid for Osimhen, so the move remains at the exploratory stage. It's worth noting that the Galatasaray forward has already scored twice in his only Süper Lig appearance of the 2026/27 season.
