Michael Agbekpornu joins Raja Club Athletic until 2029

The Ghanaian midfielder has returned to Africa, specifically to the Moroccan league, after a few years in Europe.

Raja Club Athletic have secured a new signing for their midfield. The Moroccan club have announced the arrival of Ghanaian Michael Agbekpornu from SD Huesca in Spain.

The 27-year-old has signed a three-season contract with Raja, running until 2029. Michael Agbekpornu began his career at Dreams FC in Ghana. After his early spells in the Ghanaian league, the midfielder decided to try his luck in Europe.

He initially joined KF Egnatia in Albania in 2021, before signing for Slaven Belupo in Croatia in 2023 and then for Huesca in Spain in 2025. But following his time in Europe, Agbekpornu is set to discover the Moroccan league with Raja Club Athletic.

The Ghanaian midfielder will be aiming to establish himself in the Moroccan club’s midfield and contribute to his new team’s ambitions over the next three seasons.
