What a comeback! Barcelona turn 0-1 into 3-1 as Lamine Yamal produces two moments of magic
Lamine Yamal is putting on another spectacular show, helping Barcelona produce a remarkable comeback against Galatasaray in the Champions League.
Details: Barcelona found themselves trailing in Istanbul after Aleksey Batrakov opened the scoring for Galatasaray in the 28th minute. However, Hansi Flick's side refused to surrender, and João Cancelo restored parity in the 43rd minute following an assist from Dani Olmo.
The real magic began after the break, with Lamine Yamal taking center stage. In the 50th minute, the 19-year-old winger produced a brilliant assist for Fermín López, who completed the turnaround and put Barcelona ahead 2-1.
Just three minutes later, the Catalans struck again. Anthony Gordon made it 3-1, with Yamal once again playing a key role in the attacking move. Two superb assists from the Spanish sensation helped transform a difficult evening into a commanding advantage.
Galatasaray had earlier come close to doubling their advantage, but a goal from Barış Alper Yılmaz was ruled out following a VAR review for offside. Instead, Barcelona turned the match completely on its head with three unanswered goals.
It is worth noting that Barcelona began their Champions League campaign with an emphatic 5-1 victory over Feyenoord, while Galatasaray suffered a 3-1 defeat against Sporting CP in their opening European fixture.
Reminder: Bad news for Barcelona! Will Raphinha play in the next match?
