Como have delivered a truly extraordinary performance, producing one of the most devastating victories in Champions League history.

Details: On November 4, in the fourth round of the Champions League league phase, Cesc Fabregas' team demolished French side Lens 9-1 away from home. The Italian club scored NINE goals in a single match, equalling the all-time Champions League record for goals scored by one team in a game.

The Italians began their demolition in the seventh minute when Anastasios Douvikas opened the scoring. The Greek striker completed his brace in the 32nd minute before Nico Paz made it 3-0 shortly before half-time.

After the break, the nightmare continued for Lens. Lucas Da Cunha, Marc-Oliver Kempf and Mattia Liberali joined the scoresheet, while Douvikas completed his hat-trick. Ruben Aguilar scored the hosts' only goal, but Como continued their attacking display. Martin Baturina added another as the visitors eventually finished with nine goals.

This is only the SECOND time in Champions League history that a team has scored nine goals in a single match. The first was Bayern Munich, who crushed Dinamo Zagreb 9-2 on September 17, 2024, also during the league phase.

It is worth noting that Como are making their Champions League debut this season. Before facing Lens, the Italian side had already defeated both RB Leipzig and Manchester United by identical 4-1 scorelines.

Reminder: Historic humiliation! PSG become only the second club in Champions League history to achieve incredible feat
