Against Lens, Paz found the net in the 40th minute after receiving a pass from Anastasios Douvikas. Shortly after the break, he assisted Lucas Da Cunha before setting up Douvikas in the 57th minute. Just one minute later, Cesc Fàbregas substituted the Argentine, who had already contributed directly to three goals.
His previous Champions League appearances were equally impressive. Against Manchester United, Paz scored twice and provided an assist in Como's 4-1 victory. He also registered two assists in the 4-1 triumph over RB Leipzig. Feyenoord remain the only opponents against whom the midfielder failed to record a goal contribution.
That gives the Argentine three goals and five assists across four European fixtures, with direct goal contributions in three of those matches.
It's worth noting that Como are competing in the Champions League for the first time in their history. Just seven years ago, the Italian club were playing in Serie D.
