The Champions League has a new and rather unexpected leading goalscorer.

Details: Como striker Anastasios Douvikas has sensationally taken the lead in the 2026/27 Champions League scoring race, reaching six goals in just four appearances. The 27-year-old Greek forward produced a remarkable hat-trick against French side Lens on Wednesday, November 4, moving ahead of some of European football's biggest names.

Douvikas was simply unstoppable against Lens. The Greek striker opened the scoring in the seventh minute before doubling his tally in the 32nd. He completed his hat-trick in the 57th minute, turning the evening into a personal showcase. Moreover, he also provided an assist for Nico Paz's goal in the 40th minute.

Remarkably, Douvikas has scored in every Champions League match he has played this season. Before his hat-trick against Lens, the striker had netted once against RB Leipzig, Feyenoord and Manchester United. His six goals have now put him clear of the chasing pack, which includes Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, Raphinha and several other stars.

It's worth noting that Como are making their first-ever Champions League appearance this season under Cesc Fàbregas. Just seven years ago, the Italian club were competing in Serie D, the fourth tier of Italian football.

Reminder: Eight in four! Nico Paz produces stunning Champions League numbers
