The historic 9-1 victory produced an extraordinary collection of records and statistical milestones:
- Nine goals in one match. Como became only the second team in Champions League history to score nine times, after Bayern Munich's 9-2 victory over Dinamo Zagreb in 2024.
- An eight-goal winning margin. Como equalled the all-time Champions League record held by Liverpool (8-0 against Besiktas in 2007) and Real Madrid (8-0 against Malmö in 2015).
- The biggest away victory in Champions League history. No visiting team had previously achieved an eight-goal winning margin.
- The heaviest defeat in Lens history. The French club had never suffered such a devastating loss.
- The worst Champions League defeat by a French club. Lens became the first French side to lose a match in the competition by eight goals.
- A historic Greek hat-trick. Anastasios Douvikas became only the third Greek player to score a Champions League hat-trick, after Kostas Mitroglou and Vangelis Pavlidis.
- Six goals in four matches. Douvikas moved to the top of the Champions League scoring charts and has scored in every game this season.
- Eight goal contributions in four matches. Nico Paz has registered three goals and five assists, becoming the competition's leading assist provider.
Seven different Como players found the net, with Douvikas scoring three times. The visitors also scored eight goals in the opening 69 minutes before Matteo Papaccioli completed the rout in stoppage time.
Remarkably, Como are playing in the Champions League for the first time. After four rounds, Fabregas' team sit fourth with nine points, 19 goals scored and a goal difference of +13. Just seven years ago, the club were competing in Italy's fourth division.
Reminder: Eight in four! Nico Paz produces stunning Champions League numbers as Como star shines again
