Barcelona have received another worrying update regarding the fitness of one of their most important attacking players.

Details: According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Brazilian forward Raphinha will also miss Barcelona's upcoming LaLiga clash against Real Betis this weekend. The Catalan club are now hoping to have the winger back in action for their Champions League encounter with Paris Saint-Germain, scheduled for October 20.

The 29-year-old Brazilian has not played a single match since suffering a muscle problem while representing his national team in a friendly against Australia on September 29. Raphinha experienced discomfort in his right thigh and was substituted at halftime as Brazil went on to secure a 4-2 victory.

Although the initial medical examinations carried out in Barcelona ruled out a serious muscle injury, the winger's recovery has taken longer than expected. The club's coaching staff are unwilling to take unnecessary risks with his fitness, especially considering the demanding October schedule.

Raphinha has already missed Barcelona's 3-0 victory over Getafe and was also excluded from the squad for the Champions League trip to Galatasaray. His absence against Real Betis on October 17 means that the Brazilian's spell on the sidelines will continue for at least another domestic fixture.

It is worth noting that Raphinha has registered 14 goals and three assists in eight appearances across all competitions for Barcelona this season, according to Dailysports. The Catalans are now targeting the clash against PSG for his potential return, although his availability has not yet been guaranteed.
