Erling Haaland continues to rewrite Champions League history with an absolutely astonishing scoring record.

Details: The Manchester City superstar has now scored an incredible 62 goals in just 61 Champions League appearances. This makes the Norwegian a truly unique figure among the competition's all-time leading scorers: he is the only player in that elite group whose number of goals exceeds his number of matches played.

Haaland reached this remarkable milestone during Manchester City's Champions League encounter against RB Leipzig on November 4. The Norwegian found the net in the 78th minute, putting his team ahead 3-2 and taking his European tally to another extraordinary level.

The 26-year-old striker has accumulated these numbers across three different clubs. He scored eight goals in six appearances for Salzburg, added 15 goals in 13 games for Borussia Dortmund, and has now registered 39 goals in 42 Champions League matches for Manchester City.

It's worth noting that Haaland also holds the Champions League record for reaching 50 goals in the fewest appearances, achieving the milestone in just 49 matches. He subsequently became the fastest player to reach 60 goals, doing so in only 60 games.
