Bayern Munich has identified its primary transfer target for this summer's transfer window. However, if they fail to reach an agreement with the Dutchman, the Munich club has a backup plan.
According to the club's sporting director, Max Eberl, Bayern aims to sign the Dutch talent Xavi Simons. If negotiations with him fall through, the Munich club will turn to their alternative option, RB Leipzig's Dani Olmo.
Recently, we reported that Bayern believes they will be able to secure the midfielder. Even after signing Olise, they remain confident in their strong chances of acquiring Simons and are adamant about this transfer.
It is worth noting that Bayern's sporting director, Max Eberl, is well-acquainted with Simons from his time at RB Leipzig, where Simons played on loan.
Eberl now hopes to untangle the complex situation involving Simons' current club PSG, his former team PSV—which is entitled to a portion of any transfer fee until 2025—and RB Leipzig.
