Former England and Liverpool striker Andy Carroll is facing the threat of jail time after being charged with breaching a court-issued non-molestation order.
Details: According to The Sun, the exact circumstances of the incident remain undisclosed, but it is known that Carroll faces potential imprisonment following his arrest at the airport in April on allegations of sexual harassment. The ex-England international is due to appear in court on Tuesday, December 30, where his fate will be decided.
The incident took place in March. Carroll was arrested in April at Stansted Airport upon his return from France. He is now set to appear before Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on December 30.
Breaching such a court order can lead to criminal prosecution and imprisonment, in some cases for up to five years. The exact sentence will be determined by the court.
It is worth noting that Carroll recently returned to English football, signing with Dagenham & Redbridge after stints abroad.
