The Black Princesses completely fell apart in the second half.

Yet the Ghanaians had held their own throughout the first 45 minutes. They had even made France sweat at the Arena Sosnowiec. Charles Sampson’s side had applied the necessary pressure to stifle the French.

But the second half proved to be a nightmare for Ghana’s U-20 women’s team. Immediately after the break, Clara Bertrand found the net to open the scoring in the 54th minute, making it 1-0 to France.

Justine Rouquet doubled France’s lead in the 69th minute before completing her brace in the 86th minute. Ornella Graziani also scored in the 81st minute. At the final whistle, France had secured a 4–0 victory.

Ghana have now suffered their second defeat in Group C of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, Poland 2026. The Black Princesses have three points at the end of the group stage.
