Only Kane is ahead. Mbappé records 2+1 against Rayo Vallecano
Kylian Mbappé put on a real show in the fifth-round La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano. The French forward scored twice and provided an assist, directly contributing to three of Real Madrid's four goals. The match at the Bernabéu ended 4-1.
Mbappé found the net twice and also set up one of Real Madrid's other goals. With his latest strike, the Frenchman took his tally to seven goals in six matches this season. In the La Liga scoring charts, Mbappé now shares top spot with Raphinha, with both players having scored six league goals.
The forward's goalscoring record is impressive beyond the current campaign, too. Since the start of the 2025/26 season, Mbappé has registered 79 goal contributions — goals and assists combined. Only Harry Kane has more during that period, with 85 G/A.
Mbappé therefore continues to prove himself as Real Madrid's main attacking force. His brace and assist against Rayo once again made the Frenchman the standout player of the match and helped Madrid secure a convincing victory.
