Endrick has plenty of reasons to look frustrated right now.

Details: Images of the Brazilian forward sitting on the Real Madrid bench with a visibly gloomy expression are spreading across social media. The Touchline highlighted the shots after another match in which the 20-year-old was unable to get onto the pitch, and his facial expression quickly became a talking point among fans.

Endrick remained an unused substitute during Real Madrid's 4-1 La Liga victory over Rayo Vallecano. José Mourinho made several changes during the match, but the Brazilian striker was not among the players introduced, meaning his tally in official matches this season remains at zero minutes.

There is important context behind the situation. Endrick missed the beginning of the campaign because of a muscular problem and only recently returned to full training. Before the Champions League meeting with Inter, Mourinho explained that the forward had only just rejoined the group and was ready for no more than five or ten minutes. He eventually stayed on the bench in that match as well.

The competition in Madrid's attack is also extremely intense. Endrick returned to the Spanish capital after his loan spell at Lyon, where he recorded 8 goals and 8 assists in 21 appearances. It is worth noting that Transfermarkt currently values the Brazilian centre-forward at €40 million, while his contract with Real Madrid runs until the summer of 2030.

Reminder: Only Kane is ahead. Mbappé records 2+1 against Rayo Vallecano
