Federico Chiesa's Liverpool nightmare may finally have a way out: Valencia are eyeing a move for the exiled Italian winger.

Details: According to reports, Valencia are exploring a move for the 28 year old, who has been left out of Liverpool's Champions League squad for the second season running under Andoni Iraola. Chiesa cannot be registered for European duty until January, is nursing a muscular injury and has barely featured since his 2024 arrival from Juventus.

The interest is not new: Cadena SER reported back in August that Valencia had made an enquiry, and the Champions League snub has only strengthened the case for a January divorce. Chiesa was said to be determined to prove himself to Iraola in pre-season, but the numbers are brutal, one Premier League winner's medal largely earned from the bench and a place in Europe taken by players who will not play for months. With homegrown rules capping Liverpool's European list and the winger's market value shrinking by the week, Mestalla offers something Anfield no longer can: minutes, a leading role, and a league he knows from his Fiorentina and Juventus days. A mid-season loan with an option looks the logical shape of any deal.

It's worth noting that Chiesa is not alone in exile: Wataru Endo was also omitted from the European squad, though at 33 his situation is a very different career conversation.

Reminder: Martinelli to leave Arsenal! Brazilian forward to join new club for €65 million.
