Real Madrid could have a new head coach as early as next summer. According to MatchDay Central, the club's management, led by president Florentino Pérez, is considering Luis Enrique as one of the main contenders for the team's managerial position.
The current PSG manager is reportedly on the shortlist of specialists capable of turning things around for the Spanish giants. Real’s leadership believes the Spanish coach has the necessary experience and authority to rebuild the squad and return the team to the pinnacle of European football.
International sources, including ESPN, also confirm Real's interest in Enrique, noting that he is one of the coaches capable of leading Madrid out of their current crisis. However, there have been no official talks between the parties so far.
Interestingly, Luis Enrique already has a connection with Real Madrid: in the mid-1990s, he played for the club and became a La Liga champion with them. This factor could play an additional role as his candidacy is evaluated.
