This summer has brought us plenty of high-profile transfers, and today, 1 September, clubs have just a few hours left to sign the players they want.
- Note: all times in this article are given in Central European Time.
Transfer window closing dates and times in Europe’s top five leagues:
Monday, 31 August 2026
- Germany (Bundesliga): 20:00 CEST
- France (Ligue 1): 20:00 CEST
Tuesday, 1 September 2026
- Italy (Serie A): 20:00 CEST
- England (Premier League): 23:00 BST / 24:00 CEST (midnight)
- Spain (La Liga): 23:59 CEST
In England, clubs have additional time until 02:00 CEST (the night of 2 September) to finalise deals, provided they submitted a preliminary deal sheet before the main deadline.
