Orlando Pirates defender Thapelo Xoki on his potentially end of the season: My rehab is going well and I am taking it one day at the time

Thapelo Xoki’s season is over.

Although the Orlando Pirates defender is not entertaining that thinking but that he has not yet returned on the training ground is reason enough to conclude his campaign is over.

The lanky defender has not as key to Pirates like he has been in previous season due to injury.

As he focuses on regaining his fitness, the former AmaZulu defender expressed gratitude to his team management for their help while works his way back on to the field.

“I’m still grateful for life, I’m grateful to our physios for the part they played, grateful for the club and everyone who has supported me throughout the journey,” Xoki said at the MTN Goals for Charity event this week.

“I’m busy with rehab currently, it’s going well and I’m just taking things one day at a time.”

Since joining the Sea Robbers Xoki has featured 84 times for Pirates scored eight goals, with three assists and he also won six domestic cups.
