Fernando da Cruz happy with Renaldo Leaner's Kaizer Chiefs debut

Fernando da Cruz has praised Renaldo Leaner for his Kaizer Chiefs debut.

Leaner came in place for the injured Brandon Peterson in the Chiefs' goals when they faced Golden Arrows yesterday in a PSL match.

And the goalkeeper kept a clean sheet.

"Very good,” said Da Cruz after the game.

“His leadership at the back, a couple of crucial saves to keep us in the game. Very good.

“That’s why you have a squad, when players get injured, others are given a chance.

"I’m very happy for him, he’s come on with a lot of confidence, and as you saw he’s kept a clean sheet today, so very good.”
