Marumo Gallants coach explains 20th minute substitute against Orlando Pirates

Ronnie Kanalelo's reign as Marumo Gallants coach started with some controversy as the gaffer substituted midfielder Katlego Otladisa 20 minutes into the game against Orlando Pirates.

Kanalelo was brought in earlier this week to give some impetus to the now North West-based PSL side but he could not help guide his side to victory as they lost 2-0.

The Namibian coach pulled out Otladisa 20 minutes into the game much to the surprise of many.

"I was not happy with his defensive behaviour, the reaction was actually not there,” said Kanalelo.

“He always reacted afterwards, there were moments where he lost the ball and he would switch off."
