Mbekezeli Mbokazi has made his return to the football field after a three month injury lay off.
The Chicago Fire defender also missed out on South African call-up as Bafana Bafana started their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers yesterday in a 2-1 win over Guinea.
Mbokazi's recovery came in rather earlier than expected because expectation was that he will be out for the rest of the year.
His return to the Gregg Beharlter's side was in the early hours of this morning when they won 1-0 against Charlotte in a MLS match.
This would also please Pitso Mosimane who is likely to consider the defender for Bafana camps after the current one.
