No changes are expected in the near future.

Details: According to The Athletic, a meeting was held today where EFL clubs rejected proposed new changes regarding the introduction of video replays, as well as the possibility for head coaches to challenge the main referee's decisions by displaying a special card to trigger a review of the incident.

The essence of the changes was that if a head coach felt the referee's decision on the pitch was unfair, they could raise a special card and request a review of the incident using the FVS system.

FVS is a video replay system that reviews key refereeing decisions, requiring head coaches to hand the card to the fourth official to signal their intention to challenge a call.

After thoroughly reviewing all proposals, the clubs decided to reject these innovations, arguing they would slow down matches and disrupt the cherished traditions that England holds so dear.
