Gianni Infantino has chosen a strikingly idealistic message for his campaign at one of the most turbulent moments of his FIFA presidency.

Details: FIFA president Gianni Infantino has again confirmed that he intends to stand in the March 2027 presidential election and revealed the slogan that will accompany his campaign: “Football belongs to everyone, everywhere in the world.”

Infantino made his intentions clear when discussing the upcoming election.

“Obviously I will be a candidate for the new elections. And my slogan is very simple: Football belongs to everyone, everywhere in the world. That's what I am about,” the FIFA chief said.

He also explained that his central message remains giving people across the world the opportunity to dream and participate in football, while reducing the gap between the biggest football nations and everyone else.

The statement comes amid increasing pressure on Infantino's leadership. Several European football associations have recently distanced themselves from the FIFA president, and on September 10 the French Football Federation officially withdrew its support for his 2027 re-election bid.

It is worth noting that Infantino has headed FIFA since February 2016. FIFA has 211 member associations, and the upcoming election is expected to determine whether the Swiss official remains in charge for what has been described as his fourth and final term, potentially lasting until 2031.
