Newcastle triumphed over Manchester City on home turf in the latest Premier League round. The match was packed with incidents and controversial moments, and the drama didn't end with the final whistle.
After the final whistle, Guardiola couldn't hide his frustration and immediately made his way to referee Sam Barrott to air his views.
Magpies midfielder Joelinton then got involved, exchanging heated words with the City boss.
Guardiola then crossed paths with Bruno Guimarães, leading to a lengthy exchange. As Pep tried to walk away, the Brazilian midfielder literally pulled him back to continue the discussion.
At one point, the City boss even got into a brief exchange with the cameraman filming the heated scenes.
In his post-match interview, Guardiola refused to reveal what was said to Guimarães, simply stating that "everything is fine." When questioned about Newcastle's controversial goal, he twice replied that he "didn't see anything," but later hinted to the BBC at a pattern of VAR errors: “It was the same in the match against Bournemouth. VAR made the decision—they know what they're doing.”
