Transfer bombshell! Haaland to leave Man City after the season? Where will he go?
Erling Haaland could be preparing for the biggest transfer of his career.
Details: According to El Nacional, the Norwegian striker intends to leave Manchester City at the end of the 2026/27 season, with Barcelona currently emerging as his preferred destination.
The report, citing The Sun, claims that Barcelona representatives have already met Haaland's agent in London and Paris in an attempt to establish contact ahead of a possible move in the summer of 2027. The Catalan club have been interested in the striker for years, and his name remains among the options being considered for their attack.
Real Madrid have also been linked with Haaland, but El Nacional reports that the 26-year-old is currently more attracted by the possibility of joining Barcelona. The presence of Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior at the Santiago Bernabéu is reportedly one of the reasons why the Norwegian is less convinced by a move to Madrid.
The same report claims that a release clause worth €175 million is expected to become active in Haaland's contract, potentially creating a clear route for interested clubs. For now, however, the striker remains a Manchester City player and no agreement over his departure has been announced.
It is worth noting that Haaland scored twice against Porto on September 8 and reached an extraordinary mark of 59 goals in 59 Champions League appearances.
Reminder: FIFTY-NINE IN FIFTY-NINE! Haaland's Champions League numbers no longer look human
