Locked in! Pedro Neto signs new Chelsea deal until 2032 after snubbing City
Chelsea have tied down one of their most important players: Pedro Neto has signed a new contract running until June 2032.
Details: The Portuguese winger's new agreement includes an option for a further season and a salary improvement, confirmed by the club on Friday. Neto, 26, was a target for several clubs this summer, with the Guardian reporting he turned down Manchester City, before committing his long-term future to Stamford Bridge.
The extension is a reward two years in the making. Since arriving from Wolves for 51.4 million pounds in 2024, Neto has made 108 appearances for the Blues with 40 goal contributions, playing a crucial part in the Conference League and Club World Cup triumphs of 2025, scoring three times in the latter. This season he has started fast with two goals already, and his new deal continues a clear Chelsea policy of locking core players into marathon contracts. For the clubs that circled in the summer, City among them, the message from west London is unambiguous: Neto is not for sale at any price, now or for the foreseeable future.
It's worth noting that Neto was valued at close to 100 million pounds this summer, a price tag Chelsea have now effectively removed from the market.
