Arsenal once again failed to claim Europe's most coveted club trophy, and after their defeat to PSG in the Champions League final, the Gunners added a number of unwanted statistical milestones to their history.
Following yet another disappointment, the London club updated the tournament's anti-record. Arsenal now have 226 matches in the history of the European Cup and Champions League without a single tournament win. This is the worst record among all clubs to have ever participated in the competition.

In addition, Mikel Arteta's side delivered one of the most unusual statistical performances in Champions League final history. According to Opta, Arsenal's average possession was just 24.7 percent. That is the lowest possession figure for any team in a Champions League final since detailed stats began in the 2003/04 season. Moreover, it is also Arsenal's lowest figure in any match under Mikel Arteta, even compared to games where they played with fewer men.
