Immortal! The Arsenal and France legend receives UEFA's highest honour
The Champions League draw ceremony in Monaco turned into a celebration of one of football's all-time greats.
Details: Thierry Henry has received the UEFA President's Award during the Champions League league phase draw in Monaco. The trophy was presented to the French legend by UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin in recognition of his outstanding career and contribution to European football.
The 49-year-old Henry remains one of the most decorated forwards in history: he is Arsenal's all-time leading scorer and was voted the club's greatest player ever, he won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 with France, lifted the Champions League with Barcelona in 2009 and claimed two European Golden Shoes in 2004 and 2005. In recent years, Henry has built a media career, working as a pundit for CBS and joining FOX Sports' coverage of the 2026 World Cup.
The UEFA President's Award is handed out for exceptional achievements and service to the game, and Henry joins a list of true icons of European football. It's worth noting that over his career the Frenchman scored more than 400 goals in over 900 matches for Monaco, Juventus, Arsenal, Barcelona and the New York Red Bulls.
