Here we go! Aston Villa signing PSG star for €55m
Aston Villa have landed one of their major attacking targets before the transfer window closes.
Details: According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa have reached a verbal agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over the transfer of Senegal winger Ibrahima Mbaye. The 18-year-old is set to move to Birmingham in a deal worth €55 million.
Romano has given the deal his famous here we go, with Villa switching their attention to Mbaye after ending negotiations for Rafael Leão. The PSG youngster was not a spontaneous alternative either: Mbaye has been a long-term target for the Premier League club.
The agreement between the clubs is currently verbal, so the transfer still awaits its formal completion and official confirmation. If everything proceeds as planned, Mbaye will leave Paris Saint-Germain and become another major reinforcement for Aston Villa's rebuilt attacking line.
It's worth noting that Mbaye, who represents Senegal at international level, made 24 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG in the 2025/26 season, scoring three goals and providing two assists. His current contract with the Paris club runs until June 2028.
