HERE WE GO! Aston Villa complete record transfer for Chelsea striker
Unai Emery has secured the long-awaited marquee attacking signing and reunited with his former player.
Details: According to authoritative insider Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Aston Villa have finalised the transfer of 25-year-old Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson. The two clubs have settled all the details and completed the necessary paperwork, while the player has successfully undergone his medical ahead of signing a contract until the summer of 2031. The total transfer package will be worth £65 million (around €75 million including bonuses), with £47.5 million paid as a guaranteed fee.
For Jackson, the move will see him reunite with Aston Villa manager Unai Emery, under whom the forward flourished at Spanish side Villarreal before moving to England in the summer of 2023. The signing of the Senegalese international became a key decision for the club in strengthening its attacking line following the departure of leading striker Ollie Watkins to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.
It is worth noting that Chelsea have held the player's rights since the summer of 2023, although Jackson spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Bayern Munich, where he scored eight goals and provided two assists while winning the Bundesliga title. Overall, the forward made 81 appearances and scored 30 goals in a Chelsea shirt. Authoritative website Transfermarkt currently values the player at €40 million.
