Guéla Doué is moving closer to the German Bundesliga

The Ivorian international is set to leave RC Strasbourg to join Bayer Leverkusen.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Guéla Doué and Bayer Leverkusen have reached a verbal agreement regarding the Ivorian full-back’s transfer. However, whilst the player and the German club have agreed on personal terms, negotiations between Bayer Leverkusen and RC Strasbourg are ongoing.

The two clubs are now expected to reach an agreement on the terms of the Ivorian international’s transfer. Doué is therefore reportedly awaiting the outcome of discussions between the two clubs before he can undergo his medical and finalise his move to Germany.

Should he join Bayer Leverkusen, the young Ivorian international could take his career to the next level by moving to the Bundesliga. Guéla Doué is still under contract with RC Strasbourg until 30 June 2029.
