Today, on February 20, 2024, the legendary former German defender Andreas Brehme passed away at the age of 63.

As reported by Bayern Munich's official website, Brehme's death occurred due to a sudden heart attack. The club extended condolences to all the close ones and acquaintances of the former footballer.

Brehme is renowned for scoring the decisive goal in the 1990 World Cup final against Argentina. In total, he played 86 matches for the German national team, scoring 8 goals.

At the club level, Brehme played 80 matches for Bayern Munich, 155 for Inter Milan, and 319 for Kaiserslautern. With Bayern Munich and Kaiserslautern, he won the Bundesliga, while with Inter, he became the champion of Italy. Brehme also played for Saarbrücken and Zaragoza.

Additionally, Brehme won the UEFA Cup in the 1990/91 season as part of Inter Milan.
