History rewritten at the Bernabéu! Mbappé catches Real Madrid legend in Champions League ranking
Kylian Mbappé keeps climbing into the Champions League history books.
Details: The Real Madrid forward scored against Inter during the first half of Tuesday's Champions League clash at the Santiago Bernabéu. Mbappé's strike helped the hosts establish a 2-0 advantage by the break and, at the same time, carried the French superstar to another major personal milestone. He entered the match with 70 goals in the competition and has now reached 71.
That goal moved Mbappé level with legendary Real Madrid striker Raúl González in fifth place on the all-time Champions League scoring chart. Only four players remain ahead of the 27-year-old Frenchman, while his next goal in the competition would allow him to take fifth place outright.
