Ratcliffe has compared Man United to Real Madrid and voiced the dismal statistics for the club

Manchester United is now ripe for a big change, which is not only due to a change in management, but also a change in the vector of work. The previous principles of how to build a team brought excessive losses to the club.
Not so pleasant statistics were voiced by the new Man United boss Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who compared the Mancunians to Real Madrid. The latter is financially an order of magnitude higher than the Manchester club:
"It's an interesting statistic that compares Real Madrid and Manchester United. If you look at the ten or eleven years since Alex Ferguson and David Hill left, they retired at the same time.
In that period of time, Manchester United have spent purely on players. That is, they bought fewer players. The revenue from players sold was £1.1bn. So United were not stingy with money. In fact they spent a lot of money.
Real Madrid only spent £200 million in the same period of time, which is surprising when you hear that, because they have six or seven players who are valued at €100 million or more. Manchester United don't have players like that," Ratcliffe said in a conversation with Bloomberg.
It is known that with the arrival of INEOS in Manchester United declared a move away from multi-million dollar purchases and a shift to a strategy of inviting young but experienced players as cheaply as possible.
